Dangerous Woman Tour
Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena
The success of Ariana Grande has been an incredible climb upwards for a few years now. Constantly topping the charts with both her own tracks as well as features on other artists’ successful singles, Grande has been living it up in the limelight. Her newest album Dangerous Woman (her third, for those counting) may be Grande at her most interesting and extraverted to date. The album cycle sees Grande exploring vulnerability and sensuality, donning a kink rabbit mask and shaking it alongside the likes of Nicki Minaj (on single “Side to Side”), Lil Wayne, and Future.
Whether the songs are just ear worms, gym fodder, or dance floor bangers, Grande’s crossover success has seen acclaim and appeal in the genres of pop, R&B, dance, and even musical theatre (with Ariana joining the ranks of NBC’s television musical as part of the cast of last fall’s Hairspray Live!). Having paired up with heavy hitters from Iggy Azalea, Flume and Big Sean, she’s even flexed her influence by helping to jump start the career of newer artists like Who Is Fancy and Cashmere Cat.
She’s stepped outside the box and it’s paid off. This time around, Grande gained two Grammy Award nominations (Best Pop Vocal album for Dangerous Woman, and Best Pop Solo Performance for the title track), and now is taking Woman on the road for a 58-date spectacular, including dates in the United States and Canada, as well as overseas for a European leg.
